Dr. Jessica Kang’s first extensive experience with dentistry occurred when she was only in elementary school. “I had a very crooked smile,” she relates. As a result, her mother traveled with Jessica for ninety minutes each way from their small town in British Columbia to the nearest orthodontist. This experience “was my favorite adventure of my childhood.” For five years she wore brackets, headgear, and elastics to change the structure of her bite. When her treatment was complete, she knew that helping people with their smiles was the career for her.
As a result, Dr. Kang now enjoys restoring teeth with crowns, root canal therapy and by performing oral surgery. When necessary, as a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, she repairs smiles with dental implants. Every day she applies herself to using the technological advancements and modern equipment available at the Sacramento Dentistry Group to enhance patient outcomes with skilled and compassionate treatment.
A gentle dentist, Dr. Kang realizes that fear and anxiety often accompany patients as they settle into a dental chair. While dentists are intimately familiar with their tools and how to use them, people visiting a dental office generally are not! So she makes it a priority to address a patient’s concerns and needs with good communication and an attitude that prioritizes comfort.
If you speak Punjabi or French, Dr. Kang is also the dentist for you, as she also uses both of these languages to meet the needs of our dental clients. The Sacramento Dentistry Group welcomes her to our clinic and encourages you to schedule a visit to meet this capable member of our staff.
