Dr. Atena Azarnia

I'm Persian, and I believe my journey in dentistry really began when I was a teenager. I was obsessed with sculpting and creating beautiful pieces with my hands, and I have always found it incredibly rewarding to create something from the smallest details. Back home, I earned my first dental degree in 2014 and practiced for several years before continuing my journey in North America.

After moving to the United States, I completed the International Dentist Education Program at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry, where I received advanced clinical training in comprehensive, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry. Throughout my years in dentistry, I have had the opportunity to perform hundreds of smile transformations, and one of my favorite parts has always been seeing my patients become more confident and fall in love with their smiles.

I was also honored to be inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU), the national dental honor society, and to receive the Ultradent Esthetic Dentistry Award.

I have a special passion for cosmetic and restorative dentistry, smile design, composite and ceramic veneers, and creating natural-looking smiles. I also love professional dental photography and sharing my work so you can see the details, results, and quality of care for yourself.

To me, a beautiful smile is not about making every tooth look "perfect." It is about understanding you first and creating something that complements your face, your personality, and still feels like you. That is why I love taking the time to listen to my patients, understand what they are looking for, and make sure they feel comfortable and involved in their care.

Having lived in different countries and experienced different cultures has taught me something I carry with me every day: kindness, care, and a genuine smile do not need translation. I speak both English and Farsi (Persian), and I love connecting with patients from all different backgrounds.

Outside of dentistry, I love staying active through weightlifting and Pilates, which I especially enjoy for the challenge. I'm also a true early bird. Early mornings are my favorite, but that definitely means early bedtimes too! When I'm not working or exercising, I love spending time with my husband and our two little dogs, Lucky and Lucy. I also love being out in nature, appreciating what God has created, and finding inspiration in the beauty and details around me.
